Vorgyrn’s past has given him a calm but untrusting demeanor. He finds it difficult to rely on others, especially those he believes to be weak. In this way, his Drow culture has shaped his personality. He is only frustrated by the ideas of oppression, and unjust death. His moral code is defined by his instinct and nothing more. Having no formal education, he is ignorant to history and “proper education” but his time in the forest has given him a natural wisdom about the world.
He was born with small bumps over his shoulder blades. As he grew so did these bumps, eventually developing into black bat like wings. By the age of 15 Vorgyrn’s wings could no longer be hidden and were fully developed. Seeing him as a genetic failure, Vorgryn’s father brought him out into the sun to sacrifice him to the Raven Queen. After ripping off Vorgryn’s right wing, the two were assaulted by a horde of raptors. As his father was overwhelmed, Vorgryn was able to escape into the nearby forest. Passing out form exhastion and lose of blood, he awake in an elven encampment. Even being a Drow had not stopped the forest Elves from saving him. Feeling his right shoulder, he felt the pain of having last his gift. With only one wing, he ran from the encampment afraid of the true nature of the elven generosity. Vorgryn would spend the next 75 years living off the forests natural resources, learning to trust the land. He found something compelling him to build a bow. At the age of 90, the forest seemed to tell him to search else where for his path. Making his way to a local town, Vorgryn realized the uses of his superior “ranger” and bow skills. He would spend the next few years as a mercenary for hunter’s, merchants, and others in need. After escorting a local merchant, Vorgyrn heard about a job mapping out ruins. A whistle came on the wind and Vorgyrn was compelled to make his way to this job. This brings us to the current adventure.
